I joined Abbey Group from the Netherlands as an Accounts Payable intern, and the inclusive, welcoming culture made relocating to a new country so much easier. From day one, I felt valued and supported. Abbey has provided incredible growth opportunities, which led me to my current role as Accounts Assistant. I joined Abbey in 2010 and have grown through diverse executive and managerial roles, including a move to HR three years ago. Abbey’s trust and support made this possible, letting me pursue my passions for tourism and people. What makes Abbey special is its positive, collaborative culture and genuine care among colleagues. It’s more than a workplace—it’s a company that values hard work, invests in its people, and creates real opportunities.

From my first days at Abbey in 2022, I experienced a welcoming and supportive environment. Growing from intern to Manager and playing a key role in launching the new UK Guaranteed Departures department while strengthening cross-market collaboration has been a truly rewarding experience. It demonstrated that Abbey believes in collaboration, developing talent from within and giving people the space to progress. Looking back, I’m grateful for the opportunities and excited for the next chapters ahead.

I started my Technological career at the Abbey Group, and it has exceeded my expectations. I have always felt supported by my mentors who genuinely want to see me succeed. I am always encouraged to explore new innovations, whilst given real opportunities to display my skills. The culture here promotes learning, growth, and a positive work environment.

Returning to Moloney and Kelly nearly a decade after my internship here felt like coming home. It’s been incredibly rewarding to return to the company that first inspired my passion for the industry. I love the creativity involved in designing unique itineraries and making sure every trip runs smoothly. The team is one of the company’s biggest strengths—experienced, hardworking, and genuinely supportive—which creates a great sense of teamwork and makes coming to work enjoyable every day.

What I like most about working at Abbey is the culture. We're serious about delivering quality work there's none of the performative stress, politics or late-night heroics you see at some companies. People trust each other to get things done and are there to support you when needed. My department is always encouraging each other to share ideas and improve on what we do, which I like a lot. We don’t just accept things as “how they have always been done” and like to experiment with creative solutions.
